Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a session cost?
The regular session cost is $75.00. However, fees are
based on a sliding scale and special arrangements can be
made if needed.

Will my insurance cover this?
You would need to check with your insurance carrier to see
if a benefit for hypnotherapy is provided. Most people are
more than willing to pay out of pocket when they are truly
ready to address their issue/condition in a manner that may
succeed where other modalities covered by insurance have
failed.

I've been told I can't be hypnotized, or I'm afraid of losing
control. Will this work for me?
Hypnosis is merely a state of deep relaxation and most
people are willing to enter that state when they are truly
ready for change, and when they have sufficient trust and
rapport with the facilitator. No loss of control occurs. You will
remain awake and in control of your body and speech at all
times. You may become so deeply relaxed that you feel
temporarily as if you cannot move, but if this occurs, it is
because it is your choice to enter this state.

What results will I get?
It is very common for a critical awareness to be revealed on
a first session that feels miraculous and life changing.
However, every issue is different and every individual
responds differently. You will get the results you want when
you are able to clearly communicate the nature of the
situation that needs to change to the therapist, and when
you are open to the solutions that come.

How many sessions will I need?
Again, this varies depending on the nature of the issues at
hand. Results can be very fast. For example, if you are afraid
to fly and only have time for one session before your plane
leaves, you can expect to achieve meaningful results that
will be helpful in only one session. If you are dealing with
past trauma, many sessions may be needed to facilitate
healing and change. The number of sessions you schedule
is up to you. Your therapist will discuss this with you.

Will I remember my session?
Most people remember their sessions in detail, although
occasionally people block out awareness or information
that comes to light during a session because they aren't
ready for it. You are welcome to tape record your sessions
and this may be useful to reinforce the positive solutions
and abilities that you uncover.

Can I Tape Record My Session?
Yes.  This is encouraged.  You can bring a tape recorder or I
will tape your session for you and give you the tape.  Bring a
blank tape to your session.
